Javier Bustamante Featured in University Magazine

Javier Bustamante was featured in the Catholic University’s Alumni Magazine, highlighting his efforts to foster a culture of encounter and accompaniment on campus and support students in their academic and personal goals. Javier is the Director of the Center for Cultural Engagement at Catholic University, to create supportive spaces for students of all backgrounds. Javier launched the university’s Take Flight program, supporting first generation students’ transition to university life. Nel-Sylvia Guzman of Safe Sisters Circle was recently promoted to the Executive Director role. Nel-Sylvia previously served as the Managing Attorney, Director of Legal Services, Deputy Director, and Acting Executive Director during her three-year tenure at Safe Sisters Circle. She recently presented at the National Sexual Assault Conference, focusing on providing culturally specific legal services to Black women survivors.
